Services

Oral + Facial Surgery of Eastern Colorado diagnoses, manages, and provides treatment for a variety of problems related to the teeth, mouth, face, and neck. Before your procedure, you’ll meet with one of our surgeons for a consultation. They will review your dental and medical records, discuss your surgical needs and goals, and talk with you about treatment options. We want you to fully understand your surgical plan and exactly what will happen before, during, and after your procedure.

Sedation is available for patients that can safely tolerate it based on their medical history. IV and oral sedation are offered for all procedures. These options will be reviewed at your consultation appointment.

Wisdom Teeth & Tooth Extractions

Teeth may need to be extracted for a variety of reasons, including fractures, infections, pathology, and impactions.

orthognathic surgery

Corrective jaw surgery may be necessary to correct a variety of conditions. Commonly referred to as “orthognathic surgery,” corrective jaw surgery aims to realign the jaw. It corrects severe bite abnormalities and improves form, function, and appearance.

pre-prosthetic dentoalveolar surgery

To prepare the mouth and jaw for a prosthetic device, such as dentures, pre-prosthetic dentoalveolar surgery may be necessary. The result is a better fitting, more comfortable, and more attractive prosthesis

botox

Botox can also be used for temporomandibular joint disorders. TMJ pain is a chronic issue that can cause sensitivity and discomfort in the head and neck region. Botox can help to alleviate some of the symptoms caused by TMJ.

bone grafting

Bone grafting is often necessary to restore bone areas in the jaw. Grafting can reduce bone loss and improve the jaw structure after a natural tooth is removed in preparation for a dental implant.

dental implants

Dental implants are a revolutionary tooth replacement option that appear, function, and mimic real teeth. Dental implants are permanent and often last decades.

Facial Trauma

An accident or traumatic injury in the facial, jaw, or neck region often requires reconstructive surgery. It is beneficial to seek a diagnosis and treatment from an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

all-on-4 full mouth rehabilitation

When a full set of upper or lower teeth are missing or must be extracted, All-on-4 dental implants is a complete tooth replacement system option. All-on-4 replaces either the full upper set of teeth or the full lower set of teeth (or both), which are secured and supported by four dental implants.

oral pathology

If an abnormality in the mouth is detected, a biopsy of the lesion may be required to study and diagnose the problem. There are a wide variety of issues that cause the need for a biopsy, including abnormal bleeding, mouth or jaw pain, or unexplained tooth loss.

impacted tooth exposure

When there is an impacted tooth that is stuck under the gums and will not erupt on its own, a straightforward surgical procedure called “impacted tooth exposure” may be necessary. The procedure activates the eruption process and allows the tooth to emerge successfully or for the orthodontist to move in a predictable manner.
